BNL Announces Appointment of New Business Development Director

BNL (UK) Ltd is pleased to announce the appointment of Janicke Aitken as Business Development Director.  Janicke will be responsible for the new BNL Business Development and Product Development Teams.

Janicke’s responsibilities will include the newly formed Business Development team incorporating Sales, New Product Development, Customer Services, Marketing and the newly formed and expanded New Technology Centre, encompassing technical and material research and development functions.

Janicke joined BNL as Programme Manager in 2008 and has played a key role in defining the BNL strategy. The strategy is to build on existing expertise and experience to maximise opportunities in new and complementary product areas, such as gears and shafts, and expand further into new markets including India and China.

With extensive experience of managing large and diverse teams in a variety of industries including engineering, manufacturing, construction and IT, Janicke is now responsible for BNL’s advancement in sales and technology in order to maintain the company’s position as a market leader in plastic bearing solutions.

Janicke commented:

“BNL is a company with an exciting range of innovative products and is well placed for exploiting this potential. As part of our strategy, we identified ways in which we can build on our existing capabilities in order to create future growth. Whilst this is challenging in the current climate, it is an exciting opportunity for BNL to move into new markets and product areas, expand our product range and further develop our expertise in plastic bearing technology.”

We have an excellent team who have done a fantastic job of maintaining BNL’s excellent growth rate over the past few years and we are confident we will realise our goals in the future.”

An active member of the Institute of Engineering and Technology, Janicke holds Chartered Engineer status and is a Fellow of the Association of Manufacturing Managers.
