BNL (Thailand) Limited Grand Opening
BNL welcomed business partners to the Hemaraj Eastern Seaboard Industrial Estate in Rayong, to join in a traditional Thai ceremony and celebration to mark the official opening of the factory.
On site to welcome guests were BNL Managing Director, John Nichols, International Manufacturing Manager, David Clark and BNL (Thailand) Managing Director, Gavin Charlesworth. They were joined on site by Group Chairman, Dr. Neil Partlett and Faisal Ramatallah, Chairman of BNL’s parent company Plastics Capital plc.
Attending the event were representatives of Hemaraj Land & Development, who own and operate the Industrial Estate; Krauss Maffei, who supplied BNL with seven new moulding machines for the facility; Spheric Trafalgar, production partner and supplier to BNL for many years; Wittmann, who supplied much of the plant on site; SD Shipping and Pioneer, the logistics companies who are providing shipping services and the Thailand Customs Department, with whom BNL (Thailand) will be working closely in the export of products.
A traditional blessing was performed by nine monks from the local Temple, who after prayers, anointed the building and machinery. The management and guests then consecrated the Monks’ midday meal before a ribbon was cut to officially open the factory.

This was preceded by a factory tour for BNL’s guests. The celebrations continued with a catered lunch in a decorated marquee on the site. Dr. Neil Partlett spoke to all the guests and employees after the ceremony, outlining the future plans and goals of the BNL Group.
Dr. Partlett’s speech highlighted the importance of the Thailand factory in providing additional capacity to support the growth of the company and to enable BNL to give a superior service to its growing customer base in South East Asia.
BNL would like to thank all their guests for the pleasure of their company and their kind gifts.
