Heavy Duty Plastic Bearings

Plastic does not necessarily mean light duty. In fact, many all-plastic bearings found in a variety of applications such as mobile satellite antenna (see below) are capable of carrying loads in excess of 150kg.

The cost effective and lightweight qualities of plastic, coupled with internal steel workings, mean that loads of up to 1000kg are possible whilst maintaining the flexibility and mass reduction afforded by the use of plastics. BNL’s unrivalled knowledge of plastic bearing technology enables us to choose the right combination of materials for the job.

Below are some examples of heavy-duty bearings and assemblies for various industries.

A heavy-duty, double row crowned pulley with inserted precision steel bearings, for the belt conveyor of a mail sorting machine

Heavy-duty, all-plastic bearing, incorporating synchronous belt pulley for satellite TV antennae

Large azimuth bearing incorporating synchronous belt pulley teeth and integrated pads to provide extra stability for mobile satellite TV antennae
